i know there is a loop in adjustment and a loop out adjustment. currently we need them on separate knobs.

why can't we have a loop adjustment for both in AND out on a single knob? i find myself only adjusting either the IN or OUT point and only one of them at a time. if they can both share the same knob, this would free up a knob for other use.

selecting which end you'll be editing would let the control know which end you'll be adjusting as it is now.

press IN or OUT again to select which end you want to adjust. and again to exit.

when using the sl1, we only have one set of cursor keys (or platter) to adjust the loop point, correct? why not just one knob?

Not sure what you mean... you have two keys for in and out.
