ChangNam 4:37 PM - 1 April, 2011
Hello to you all. I am new at this forum.. I have 2 CDJ 2000 and a DJM 2000 mixer. But i have no Dj software.. What do you guys prefer to use. Together with a DJM 2000 mixer ??

What is the difference from SL 3 and SL 4 ?? I really not know what to buy... Do i really need the box to use this program. Or can i just download it from the home page and use it ??

Thanks for any information..

SL3 is three channel serato, and SL4 is four channel serato. see all the differences and such here: serato.com

You need the soundcard in order to use Scratch Live. If the interface isn't connected, you can only work on your library.

You can use the CDJ2000s in HID mode with Scratch Live...letting you scroll the library and other functions directly on the device instead of touching the computer.

Dj Buggy - you will still need the serato box to use serato in conjunction with your CDJ's. DJmallon is on the money when he said:

"You can use the CDJ2000s in HID mode with Scratch Live...letting you scroll the library and other functions directly on the device instead of touching the computer. "

It's all on what you like and how you want to interface with your library. Just echoing what DJmallon said. Hope it helps.
