Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Automatic Switch to REL when using loops, ...

I normally like to use ABS mode, at least when mixing in the next song. While the song is playing it doesn't make any difference.

I would love to be able to use Loops, comeing Autoloops, Censor, ... in ABS mode and Serato automaticly switching to REL mode!

once ur in REL, how do you get back to ABS?

good question, just found your suggestion to go to ABS mode in the beginning of the record, that could be a very handy combination. Another Option is on loading the next song. A third idea would be, if you lift the needle and place it in another position, it could switch back to ABS mode.

example of my thoughts:
You are in "enhanced ABS mode" and cue up your track and start mixing it in. Once it is mixed in, you maybe wanna use loops or whatever is only available in REL mode. So Serato automaticly switches to REL. After this song is out of the mix, you load the next track and can cue it up as Serato is automaticly back in ABS, and so on...

I would really love this, so you don't have to switch between REL and ABS mode explicitely.

theres a thread someplace with lots of other "drop needle then" functions, I think Nik39 had the "jump to cue desegnated by minute sectore on the vinyl"

at first I wasnt really sure about the auto switch to REL mode. thinking about it more, I like it alot. Hit a cue, on first it switches to REL, on second the cue works, unless it could be coincided.

both functions and you would never have to manually switch, it would be almost like a "super mode"

But I have a feeling that they are going to give us "needle drop" in REL mode, which is what all of this is about anyway.

thing is, if you have an option for "needle drop" in REL mode who would need ABS mode? the people scared to see the extra functions on the screen?

And REL mode wouldnt really be REL mode any more, just 'advanced'

Either 'needle drop' in rel mode or auto jump to relative mode would be great!

I find rel mode great to work with, though you can't easily skip through the track :-(
