alternative way of moving a track to the beginning in Relative Mode

Personally I'm mainly trying to avoid djing via buttons ('cause I can't place the notebook always within reach), so there might be some enhancement to REL-Mode.

How about the idea getting a track played in REL-Mode to start again from beginning via a Vinylsignal.

Normally REL-Mode won't respond to placing the needle in different sections of the vinyl.

My idea is, that you move the needle into the start-offset of the control-vinyl, to make the track jump back to start. Then you cue to the end of the track-start-offset(which you already can define in the setup) and the track starts playing when getting into the playback area. Or you move the needle right back wherever you like within the playback area of the CV.

How about that?

hmmmm, sounds interesting. I wonder if that's feasible.

Hey Hondai,

I think it is very similar to what AKIEM posted here, and the addition Sam made.. www.scratchlive.net <- click

i've thought about bringing a USB keyboard with me to put in front of my CDX's (closest to me) but i'm afraid of USB dropouts

I had that too, but nearly nowhere was enough space to place it. I never had dropouts using the usb-keyboard at home, so don't worry.

How about something like this?

onfinite.com

I have it set up to where I can scroll through my crates or songs with the jog/shuttle wheel; load song into left or right side of SSL; and go to first cue point (1 or 6) in each side. The top center button toggles the jog wheel between my crates and my song list.
