i think it's great that ssl integrates with itunes. another feature that would make the whole itunes library function better would be the ability to choose playlists.

For instance i already have 'All', i don't need 'iTunes Library' and 'Music'. I also don't need 'TV Shows' and 'Podcasts'. Although i have removed these thru itunes.

When ssl starts a window could pop up and you can place a checkbox next to all the playlists that you want to import. Of course your preferences should be able to be stored so that the same ones are imported every time without asking or the entire window doesn't appear.

Something like that could be set-up through the setup screen.

This would be good, especially for those who use their iTunes for personal music listening, and might have playlists that they would never use in SSL.

Maybe they could write something like this:

you could name a dummy track 'include.mp3' or 'exclude.mp3', that you would put in the playlists you did/didn't want to show up in SSL. Then in SSL you could check a box that said to look for the include/exclude track and only show the ones you want.

Also, if you are running XP you could consider making a separate login account just for serato, which would also include a fresh set of itunes playlists which you could have just like you want it. Then you also woudn't have to sync all your dance mixes to your ipod.
