Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Auto focus on similar BPM range when switching crates

Ive been experimenting with a new crate structure to organise my tracks which involves having 20+ crates (as opposed to 3-4 crates) .When I tried it out, 1 thing that annoyed me was that when I switched crates I would have to scroll thru the list looking for tracks with a similar BPM.

so how about a feature which auto moves the focus to the same BPM range from 1 crate to the next?

Example, you've mixed a track from a "New Track" crate with a BPM of 98, then you switch to the "Current Heat" crate. When you do this, the focus auto moves to the centre of all tracks with a BPM of 98

interesting idea... it could be that it only does this when switching between crates that are sorted by BPM

great suggestion. I sort all my crates by BPM. I can always use the search feature to look for a specific song title or artist. When I switch crates or I do a search it would be nice to focus back to the last song playing or cued so that it stays in the same BPM range. I have a USB controller that I rigged up to use with my Mac that has a scroll wheel and even with that it takes a long time to go from the low wnd of the BPM range to where I need to be.

this is a good idea.. i also use the bpm column to sort my tracks.. so when switching crates if SSL was able to autofocus to the last used BPM that would be great and save alot of scrolling.. +1 !!!

Totally agree.
Isn't this already in some other feature?
Where the screen stays locked to the center or something, theres a button in setup screen.
...cant look at serato now.....

But this drives me crazy as well.

I think when switching it should stay locked to whatever range you are sorted by from crate/playlist to crate/playlist, genres even as well.

Names (if you were browsing the P's for instance)

good idea

maybe if the next crate is not sorted by bpm it could jump to the first track with same bpm

I would love if it did this, but I never leave my crates sorted by bpm because I need to change the order.

I wonder if we could give individual crates these certain type instructions or a global instruction:
jump to bpm
jump to number
jump to artist
jump to genre
jump to color
match column structure
match sorting
