Not sure if this has been suggested but I think we should be able to edit songs (press the reverse key over curses) and SSL save that information into the overview the same way the save cue points.

then maybe have a switch that allows us to play the songs edited or unedited.

This way we wont have to edit songs in third party software and have 2 versions of the same song.
