make SSL compatible with Traktor Scratch Vinyls
What features would you like to see in Serato software?

This weekend, me and a friend installed both our systems (TS and my SSL). I found out that the TS Vinyls can control Serato! I was impressed, it worked fine to scratch in REL mode (ABS mode was behaveing like REL mode) except that serato was spinning too fast as TS uses a higher frequency.
I would really love to have an option to use TS Vinyls for such cases where you want to install both systems by using only two Turntables.

Couldn't you just keep a set of SSL Vinyl and a set of TS vinyl on hand?
Seriously ... it's like 4 records.

I think adding another control/timecode-signal scheme would make things unneccessarily complicated. Plus the benefits for the average SSL users are very very very small. And... do you think Native Instruments would allow Serato to implement their timecode recognition algorithm into Scratch LIVE? Haha, before that happens, we'll probably see hell gets frozen. ;)

But both of us playing on the two decks concurrently all the time makes you change the vinyls vero often, would just be nice to use one set of vinyls, and shouldn't be complicated to make, as it already worked very well, just the playback speed too fast.
Other vinyl emulations already support other control vinyls like Serato and as far as i know also the FinalScratch ones... I don't think that there should be any problem

yes but most other emulation software that allows outside time code is a software solution only, not a combined hardware/software/timecode solution... thus they HAVE to allow and support other control vinyls.
software like djdecks.
so you're really comparing apples to oranges.

that was only a point to say that it can't be forbidden to implement other timecodes, i didn't mention thet SSL HAS to do it, but for some situations it would be nice to have.
