Labeling Marker

xalent69 6:29 PM - 9 May, 2005
Right now I use a color code for my markers. Such as blue for the beggining of a song (some songs have long intros with crap before the meat of the song comes on) and Green for key words during the song for juggling or scratching and red for a breakdown of the song. It would be nice to be able to type in a short description of the marker.

Just an idea...

My bad, didn't really look into it that much. Plus I just joined a couple of months ago. But I guess I'm not the only one that wants that!

Definitly not.

I think the main implementation problem right now is, that there is not enough space on the screen. My suggestion would be to have some kind of toggle button/key-shortcut which changes the display box with all markers from displaying the time to some changeable text. So instead of showing "marker 1 : 03:06" it should show a text box, cause I wouldnt really need the timepositions of the markers. And if I needed it, I could switch the views back to timepositions with a keyshortcut.

SSL developers, ya hear me? :-)

i would like to see this feauture implemented too... but, as nik said, the current GUI doesnt allow enough space for it, and for other suggestions wich are on the to-do list yet.

maybe in a future SSL 2...

BC, well what I about my proposed solution? It would fit into the current GUI.
BassChamber 10:15 PM - 10 May, 2005
mmm for me, time display is very important, because it makes me know how much time is left until the next marker.

i would prefer SSL to display both, but then, the current GUI would not be large enough.

anyways, as a workaround it could work, but or course, making it optional.

Of course making it optional ;-) I dont want to tell ya to change the way you mix/scratch/use SSL.

Nik39 - would that give you enough space? You'd only have 8 characters to use for your label...
nik39 8:53 PM - 11 May, 2005
Hm, okay, 8 characters is not enough :-( I thought there is more space... on my laptop screen with a high resolution.
