DJM-500 Faders

DJM-500 Faders

I've got a DJM-500 and a DJM-600.

I've noticed that the faders are a LOT stiffer on the 500.

On the 600, the faders move real easily and quick and lite, more like a crossfader.

The 500 is much tighter, heavier and slow-moving.

Is this normally the way they're built?

I'm wondering if I might benefit from using some sort of lubricant on the 500 faders. I'd like it to move more easily.

Anyone know about this?

you might want to check the pioneer forum for that one, but i'm pretty looser faders was one of the changes on the 600.
