NickB 4:55 AM - 2 May, 2005
Has anyone found the ttm56 fader knobs annoying?? I have heard some reports of people saying they are awkward but im not sure whether they are people used to the vestax fader knobs who havent taken time to adjust to the rane ones?? whats do people think???

Well, I like them. Don't find them annoying at all.

Not annoying at all. Why should they?

which fader knobs are you referring too? i'm anxious to afford a ttm56 and would like some negative feedback (i have read enough positive feedback to make me want one already :)

ive just heard some complaints about the ttm 56 fader knobs but i think its just people who are used to other brands. I havent really heard any negative feedback about the ttm56. Im tossing up between ttm56 and the xone 02 but i havent heard anything bad about either so its making the choice kind of hard

_What_ kind of complaints? You should be more precise...

im not exactly because im not the one complaining about them. Ive just heard some people find them hard to use for crabbing and other scratch techniques.

The fact that the 56's fader never wears out, and how it feels when I furiously pound it while scratching is the whole reason to get this mixer. The knobs are soft on the fingers as they are a ruberized teflon style plastic, yet the offer perfect control. Try scratching on a stanton or a vestax for more then an hour and you'll have to stop for the day from sore fingers. I would know, I have all three of these mixers (see profile)

Just my opinion, but I love the feel

If your talking about the actualy plastic knobs then yes it was a different feel to it. I was coming from Vestax and it did take me a while to get used to the TTM 56 knobs. They are not so bulky and have a more rubbery feel in the fingers.... but once you get used you will never go back!
