"Escape Key" Should Get You Out of Search Not Quit Serato

Hi all, this one has been bugging for a long time especially during gigs. If you hit ctrl-f it takes you to the find box which is great. What would make some serious sense to me is that if you are in the find box and you hit escape it takes you out of the find box and not to a dialogue that asks you if you want to quit serato. I think that should go to the standard windows "alt-f4".
If I am in that find box there is no quick way for me to jump out of it and consequently if I don't notice that I am still in the find box and I hit 1 of my cue points it ends up typing it in the search box which is frustrating.

I am on 1.7.1 the first time you hit escape it takes you out of the search but the second time it gives you the quit screen. Its hard to see if you are in the search box as it is which is why I suggested just making escape do one function and not 2.

why not eliminate the quit prompt after hitting escape altogether? I cant think of any other program where I exit by hitting esc. Though there are plenty where I use it to cancel the current action or past keystrokes.
ctr + q to quit, not esc. fight the power

Ok! I get your point Dj_Danny!
But if your mouse stops working it's good to have a second option on the keyboard to get out of SSL so you can try to fix the problem in the OS. But you could change the quit button to 'ctrl esc' or something so you don't quit by accident!

I would probably just suggest the standard alt+f4 to quit out of SSL like all standard applications. Change the ESC key to just get you of the search box and not have dual functions for one key.
I have a mouse but when I am at a gig I never use the mouse.

i agree...or at least once u get to the quit dialogue, hitting escape again will get you out of the quit dialogue (similar to selecting no). The question "Are you sure you want to exit Scratch Live? [yes/no]" gets amazingly confusing when you get a few drinks in you and your set's on the line.
