Dont know if I am the only one but my 57 crossfader stop working this past weekend and this is the first time this has ever happend on any rane mixer i have owned. I have a 52, 56 and that is the one (52) I use at gigs and gets the abuse and bought it when it first came out and have never replaced the cross fader on it.
I love the 57 and this unit has never left my house and never seen smoke, alcohol and anything near it. My concern is that I just found out that the crossfader is a wearable part and not under warranty even if its been less than a year. Just wanted to get others opinions cause I spent good money on the 57 and feel that my crossfader should be covered atleat for the first year. Its a Rane product and I paid for the quality. Thanks!

Has your fader completely stopped working?
I've heard of the ribbon cable coming loose before, have you opened it up and had a look?

Avenue - Thanks for the reply. I will call them up and see if they can help me.
nobspangle - It completely stopped working. I would have understood it the fader was bleeding and then stop working, but all of a sudden stop working. I will check to see if the cable is loose before I call Tech. Thanks for the help!

If that cable was loose, it wouldn't bleed, it would just stop working altogether as soon as the connection was lost.

Fellows have some good news.
Nobspangle hit it right on the dot.
My cable was loose and all I had to do was push it down. Also noticed that they can easily come up so you guys might want to keep checking them for the future. Had to push down one of my up and down fader cable also.
I am glad I did not purchase another fader as was told by my sales person.
Rane does a good job on the mixers just not a fan of the crossfader not covered at least for one year.
Good Day.

The TTM57SL faders are covered for the duration of the warranty as are the TTM 56 faders.
I think your sales person was trying to pull one on ya my man. We don't sale replacement faders for the TTM 56/57SL.

That's confidence in your product, don't sell them because there's no need.

Ooo, theres a thread about this.
Send Shaun a pm, he will chuck replacements in the post to you, i think.
Prolly worth sending yours back, because all the tests theyv done have found no problem with the parts...

I'm a little confused. Above Shaun says that Rane doesn't sell replacement faders but I received this email from a Rane Manager.
"For parts orders, give Rane a call here at Rane: 425-355-6000.
If you reside in the USA want to place a parts order directly with Rane,
here's the general procedure:
Have your Model Number(s) and Serial Number(s) handy
before calling Rane Corporation at (425) 355-6000
If you live within USA boundarys, you may purchase parts directly from
Rane Corporation. If you are located outside USA boundarys, you will need
to contact a RANE rep in your country, prices may vary. For those located
outside the USA, you can find your local representative by looking
over our list at www.rane.com
If you are within USA boundarys and need to order some parts from Rane,
call RANE at 425-355-6000. Tell the receptionist you would like to place
a parts order. You will then be hooked up with one of our service parts
administrators. Let them know what you need and they will fix you up. Please
have your Model and Serial Number available when you call. Without the
serial number, we will not refund if you receive the incorrect parts.
We accept these credit cards:
Mastercard
Visa
Discover
American Express
Sorry, no COD

Just really confused because Shaun said....

Can anyone help me understand?

Rane sell spares for all of their products but you have to contact Rane and give them your serial number so they can match the part to your product. I think Shaun was meaning you can't just go on the Rane website and buy a new 57 fader the same way you could for a 2016.
In any case I think sweetL is right on this, if your fader has broken in normal use Rane will replace the plastic end blocks under warranty.
