Can someone tell me what's so special about this pressing?

the folks from the collector forum started this to see who got what numbered rekease of the ac slaters,
500 pressed

i got 4/500,so i they added my name and what number i got
if you have a pair,insert your number and your name in order and cut and paste in your post

All pressings are special, but the numbering is a bit odd.

That doesn't help at all. What makes the pressing special? Why are people raving so hard over this pressing over something like, the King Breaks?

just seeing who goy what number on their certifacate
if the breaks came numbered,there would of been a thread for those too

I think it's the first time a limited run pressing has had individually hand numbered and signed certificates of authenticity accompany a Serato Pressing. The artist series didn't even do that. Pretty special IMO.

I received a pair of Eric Orr's vinyl, signed by the artist himself. That's more special to me than a numbered print-out. IMO

I agree that those are special but Eric didn't do that for every pressing. That's what makes your so special. And by the same token the AC SLATERS achieve a special albeit different status because of the unique hand numbered and signed certificates...

I would take those orrs over a pair of slaters,shiiittt i would take a set of unsigned orrs over the slaters bit for now i just have to wait for my slaters XD

also the fact that the slaters have taken along time from release date to be delivered

Yeah I kinda thought that at first, but the fact that I just copped 4 new pairs at regular price brand new, this late in the game, appeases my annoyance of no numbering. AND, I can use those to spin with as they are inherently not at valuable/sellable.

but does that (yours not having numbers) decrease or make the numbers on the first 500 meaningless? My guess is no since they could be considered the first 500 pressed and they are signed...but it would be nice if they just copped to what is really going on...I won't knock the hustle but let us know what's up

Very true, Rob. Maybe they pressed 1000; signed 500 and sold them (and maybe a few more leaked out). Then in a year they can release the other 500.

I'm sure it just slipped out during shipping.

How did these never sell out? I mean I get they are just clear red so nothing that special, and that perhaps the musical genre is 'past its superficial mass audience prime' [no flame please, i like the tracks]; but only 500 pressed and still for sale? Anyway, continue...

I think they are sold out being resold. The pair I received from stokyo were opened and the corner ripped. Who knows.

They were never sealed in plastic, even direct from Trouble & Bass.

I feel the same way they should have been long gone; these are fire... plus only 500! thats rare for any vinyl pressing hands down and costs company's alot to do smaller numbers especially in color.

There were only 500 sets, and I know most of us bought multiple sets. It is kind of strange that it didnt sold out quicker.

@DJTA2423 you just missed out. :( first set went to Patty Dukes (Pat Mendez), second set went to my boy DJ Russell J and the most recent set went to my good friend DJ Garry Aviance. Ben is on the short list for any extras that I might have available at regular retail. And beyond that I'm not only an addict--I'm a Serato CV hoarder. I firmly believe that you get what you give though. So, when I first came to the forums--I lurked and listened. Then I would quietly collect. Following the advice of many but most notably the voices of Dub, Feniks, Proto J, Jens, Roman A, Freestyle, Buddylove and the likes (too many to name). I hadn't intended on collecting everything until I actually won the Holy Grail Hella Rare Marble Greys. Around that same time, if not just prior, Dubs, Feniks and one other DJ whose name escapes me were announcing they had collected every officially recognized Serato control vinyl. Inspired I went all in! And now I'm happy to report that I'm only a pair of yellow promos away from Serato Control Vinyl Nirvana! You too can be one set away. And as I move towards my Serato CV destiny I will continue to help other DJs the same way other DJs helped me!!!

Nice... I have a crate full of cvg's and I keep asking myself why. They are hidden and barely ever come out. I never use them etc... Hopefully one of my kids will follow suit and be able to enjoy having them. Same with the watch, it sits in a cabinet time clicking away and it hasnt seen daylight for almost 2 years.
I guess its all a part of saying I have it.
