It's been on the tech news sites that it's been down for most of today. There's tons of speculation of whether the site has finally buckled under pressure from the RIAA and the Russian government.

I stopped using after all the BS with it. If its too good to be true..it probably is. Allofmp3.com never paid royality to any record company.

They paid royalties to the organization in Russia. They were putting together a mechanism to cut royalties directly to the artists as well.

The royalty levels just weren't what the US copyright holders wanted... because Russian law allowed them to pay royalties like a radio station instead of a 'per track' basis like they do in the US.

But all that aside... if you're a user of AllofMP3.com you're in for a ride as the company goes through the Russian courts... all because Russia wants to enter the world trade organization...
