Pressing 'Group' Button then 'B' buttons does not work

24FrameAssassin 2:09 PM - 3 November, 2010
I have a feeling that I am doing something wrong or don't have something set up properly, but I just acquired a TTM 57SL last night from someone else and was trying to access the Group menu by pressing 'Group' then one of the 'B' buttons only to find that this does nothing. I noticed that if I press 'Group' then push the 'J1' joystick up that this brings up the Group menu.

Is this just a matter of the previous owner having mapped the hardware differently from the default settings or is this something else entirely?

Any help is appreciated!

you can customize knobs p1/p2, joysticks j1/j2 and buttons b1-b6. you cannot change what the deck and group buttons do.

when you press the group button, buttons b1-b6 should blink until you press b1-b6 to go the group 1-6.

also by default when pressing the group button, j1 and j2 are assigned to hardware, sp-6, prepare, setup and 57 setup. this can be customized as well.

Hey DJ Nyce,

yea, that's what i thought...i do see the b1-b6 buttons blink when i press the Group button, however, when I go to press any of the b1-6 buttons, they don't do a thing.

any other suggestions?

not sure. there doesn't seem to be a way to restore the 57 to factory defaults.

try this, if you open the hardware tab and click the different groups with your mouse, do the groups change?

what about when you are in a group, does pressing the buttons (b1-b6) do whatever they're set to (i.e fx on/off).

yes, i can move around within the groups with the mouse and with the b1-6 buttons. Everything works as it is intended with the only exception being that pressing Group then any of the b1-b6 buttons does NOT bring up the Groups menu.

pressing group doesn't bring up a menu. when you press group two things happen.

1) buttons b1-b6 (except current selected group) flashes
2) if you are in hardware tab, the hardware tab displays j1/j2 assignments (hardware, sp-6, prepare, setup, 57 setup)

from there you can press group to cancel, press j1/j2, press b1-b6 or click b1-b6 with the mouse

understood...when you press Group THEN one of the b1-b6 buttons, that should bring up the group menu for whichever b1-b6 button you pushed. this is what is not happening for me.

yeah. something is up with your 57. you should post in the help section to get the mods help. worse case scenario you'll have to send it in.
