OK first of all I absolutely love the new features like sub crates and multiple field editing. How did I ever have crates without subcrates before?
QUESTION - you know how you can set SSL to read your iTunes library? Well I only use iTunes to work on id tags.
SUGGESTION - can you make SSL read your hard drive directly?
EXPLANATION - I use a pocket sized external hard drive, so I can work on my mp3 collection wherever I go (home, work, a friend's house, on the road, whatever). I use about 4 different computers on a regular basis.
I'm constantly adding new tracks to my library, on my external hard drive. I'm also constantly pulling old tracks out of there, especially if I play them at a club and I decide they aren't as cool as I thought they were. Then I have to go in to the all files, find the track and ctrl-delete it.
I keep my external drive organized into LOTS of different folders. Each genre has subgenres, etc. I have lists of folders inside lists of other folders.
When I'm adding new tracks to my hard drive it would be nice if I could go in SSL and click "re-scan drive" or something, and have the new tracks pop up, and the old tracks (that I either moved to another folder or deleted) disappear!

Yeah, like all common "Backup" software (to back up your hard drive) - once you do the initial 'backup' all you do on a regular basis is update any changes you made.

This would be nice. Plus, your crates wouldn't be gone on your new iBook because it goes to sleep automatically.
Organize your windows in explorer, and SSL will update the new crates automatically.

Or simply apply the same technology you get with external hard drive "BACKUP" software - when you make changes to your mp3s SSL will make the corresponding changes when you click a new feature called backup or something.
Right now we have re-scan id3 tags in the setup screen. That's cool because every time I move files on my hard drive I go to rescan my tags and find the broken links. I delete them, and that's fine.
The hard part is when I have to add each new mp3 I buy not only to my elaborate filing system in windows explorer, but also to my crates and subcrates system in SSL.
