For the longest time i've been waiting on an update to Serato that includes the up->down arrow featuring vertical arrows on the far right lower corner of the display. it is no mistake that pc and mac folder windows have these arrows for faster navigation (this allows you to view a whole page of tracks at once and scroll down quickly if you have to). dragging the dot bar down is inefficient. if you place your cursor too far above or below this dot the scrolling jumps tracks and is inaccurate. if you highlight and use the page up-down arrow keys it's tedious and slow for a scratch dj trying to locate tracks to perform quick mixes or tricks and once you reach the track at the bottom it's one track scrolling until you locate what you're seeking-instead of being able to view a whole page of tracks while continuing to scroll). PLEASE fix this. other competitors have this feature and frankly i'm surprised this has been overlooked for so long and not harped on by many other SSL users.

this is all fine and dandy to refer me back to some previous posts and i applaud all who have pointed this out. you nik39 are the same person who has been trying to shoot down this suggestion from the start. i don't care how long you've been on this board i have a lifetime of experience and reluctantly shifted from vinyl to cd to mp3.I am at my core a turntablist. you act as if you're the greatest dj ever and i've never heard of you. the fact remains that this is NECESSARY if djs have to navigate and locate their music on a laptop. every dj explores what is best. If Serato is not responding to this small fix. dj's will explore other software. that simple. Serato is great and is widely used but admittedly lacking in for instance the video aspect. VDJ has surged ahead in this department. i am not a programmer or software engineer. i am a professional that uses Serato and i know the lack of this feature pisses me off. i use VDJ on PC and Serato on Mac. i haven't complained on this board in months and patiently wait for updates. EVERY time an update is issued i am dissapointed this is not rectified. if you are directly affiliated with Serato then fix this..get video mixing capabilities etc. or you are in danger of losing many other djs like me.

What are you talking about me acting as I was the greatest DJ? Do you have problems with reading? I simply pointed you to threads which already discuss this issue.
We have included links to relevant threads should you wish to add to the discussion.
We do not guarantee that all features on the list will be implemented - the purpose of this list is to make it easy for new forum users to see what has already been discussed. This list does not contain every suggestion made - It's more of a "Frequently Suggested Suggestions" list.
If you are a forum veteran, and you see a new user posting suggestions that have already been made, please point them to the relevant post in this thread.
... so that you can your opinion in the existing thread. Do you know why? No? I tell you. Because then Serato sees with single look how many people are requesting a certain feature. This would be a bit difficult if shit is spread across 50 threads. Makes sense? No? Read again.
And please for fucking sake, SEARCH THIS BOARD BEFORE YOU POST. Video is already on the list, THEY ARE DEMO'ING IT ALREADY.
Some people simply dont get it. Especially those with the biggest egos.

i knew you would show your maturity to revert to obscenities. this is nowhere in my post. it shows your mindset. i read the advisory. i have posted on this before and knew it was buried somewhere in the database and i couldn't find it on an initial search.('SEARCH THE BOARD BEFORE YOU POST'). you still don't get it. WHO STARTS READING A FORUM LIKE THIS WITH THE SEARCH BOX? djs especially are looking for current news and equipment development. if they do start with SEARCH visitors to the forum may search for 'tomato' or 'tomatoe'. one may enter scrolling as their search and nothing comes up. someone else may enter serato navigation and nothing. someone else may not know exactly what they want to read in the forum and human nature has them start to read the most current posts. they are not going to go searching all around the Serato database to find the EXACT language of their concern, rather they are going to browse CURRENT suggestions by other users and see if it relates to something they may never have even thought of. it shouldn't matter that much that people harp on the same suggestions. it is the suggestion itself and the frequency in which it recurs you should concentrate on instead of trying to act as some old parent saying "we know, we know...it's been suggested before". sometime last year for all a casual broswer reading current posts in the Serato forum knows. let the forum posters do what forum posters do. have a running and CURRENT discussion no matter how their posts are phrased. my aim is to get something done about adding this feature. obviously it hasn't been fixed yet as of the new update to Serato. if anyone agrees with me on this feel free to chime in.

Bla bla.
Enter video in the search box. No, not "viteo" or "vdeo", just "video". Was not that hard to find, was it?
Oh... and about the scrolling... You just have to read the stick post, it is mentined over there. Was not that hard either, was it?

speak english or learn sentence structure. i spend time writing and clarifying my posts so that others in this forum can understand what i'm talking about. you're just concerned with being a jerk. i don't care about your opinions? are you the developer of Serato? I think not. this is for more important people than you. at the consumer level you should care that djs will migrate to other software if their needs are not met by the current one they're using. try shutting up and let others use this forum. you're all over the place in here always putting your 2 cents in. i only come here to get updates because of jerks like you. imagine a forum where expression of ideas is constantly shot down. the REAL powers at Serato should get you off their post boards for trying to alienate their most precious asset...the consumers.

dog, nik39 can be an ass sometimes (like any of us to whatever dgree) BUT, in this case he was doing, us AND YOU a favor by pointing to threads where you can add on. Trust if this thread sits at ten or so posts, the SSL team might no notice it. But if you add on to a thread that was already started, get the numbers up there, they are more likely to take notice.
Also I wouldnt have waisted my time looking in this new thread to see "nothing new"

This is a quote of someone who has "REAL" power. Someone from Serato. Did you take the time to read it? Did you follow it?
English is not my native language, feel free to correct me. So what is wrong here, please point it out, I have no problems learning something new:

Are you mocking about "sticky post" instead of "stick post"? Well, that was a spelling mistake.
It is common sense to read before you write. Thats how you do it in real life as well, don't you? So lets assume there is a discussion going on, do you just join the discussion without actually listening to what the others are saying? Do you just hop in and shout out what is on your mind? No. Same goes for a forum. At least read the sticky posts. They have a compiled list of already mentioned topics. Easy, isn't it?
Yeah, it is really that easy, I am not trying to cheat. :)
