Jog wheel/Pitch bend mode

What about a new mode or even possibly an option for internal mode where the control vinyl acts like a big jog wheel, kind of like how the Pioneer CDJs work in CDJ mode. Spinning the control vinyl will pitch bend the tracks up/down.
I think this would be good for mix/edm djs. One of the gripes I often hear about SSL, and all DVS programs in general, is it's hard to keep the beats match for longer periods of time without constantly making minor pitch adjustments and babysitting the mix, and I agree to some extent. With this mode, you could beat match the tracks in absolute or relative mode, then switch to this "pitch bend internal mode," then you don't have to worry about the wow and flutter fluctuations of your turntables, and just pitch bend as necessary.
Thoughts?

The wow and flutter is inherent with vinyl, this mode wouldn't be "constantly" reading the time code, rather just use the time coded vinyl as a platter ala cdj or an mp3 controller thing??
Good suggestion I can't see how people use internal mode anyway in its current incarnation, it definitely needs midi and something on the line of what Konix suggested

Cause the tracks would be playing in internal mode. Like ekwipt said, it wouldn't be reading the timecode for position and speed info.
Mixvibes has a mode like this I believe.

I know you from DJ Decks Konix.....
You would know that some of the other programs fell short when using timecode but worked a treat in internal mode, I really liked the way you could cue up using the vinyl then put it in internal mode and the tracks would stay together rock solid (No WOW and Flutter)
With serato being the absolute best vinyl control system, the added midi support in 1.8 plus a feature like this.... Two thumbs up
I think it would carry well over into when Serato Scratch goes 2.0 in the future (3 or 4 decks controllable by two timecodes)

Do you mean locked groove vinyls?
I guess they would work well in this instance??

+1 to this
I'm not sure how it would go with pitch bending via the vinyl, but i certainly would love to see the wax not reading pitch and just reading movement only for INT mode (or a new CDJ mode perhaps?).
This would also allow for combating wow 'n flutter.

How would you get the track in time?
Seems like a good idea but you might as well use a MIDI controller instead.

I miss the pitch bend buttons on my DN-S3500 whenever I use vinyl. So I use 16-key X-Keys and programmed two of the buttons for pitched bend +/- in Relative mode.
NO MORE BABYSITTING THE MIX. No more nudging the platter, record, or spindal to increase/decrease the speed. Just tap the pitch bend button and your their.

There's less fluctuation mixing straight vinyl AdamJay, thanks for the pointless post tho mate.
J.J - hey mate ... i'm only just doing the same thing with relative mode as well. What Konix (and myself now) are talking about is another step for REL mode ... Konix is putting forward that the timecode wax should basically act like a CDJ100/200 jog wheel for pitch bending purposes and the rest be controlled via INT mode.
I'm putting forward similar, in that i think the timecode wax could be used to track movement (so cueing and scratching) but doesn't track position (like rel mode) and also doesnt track pitch ... all this could be controlled via INT mode.
