Wanted too advice you I believe the instructions in the ( www.serato.com ) are NOT accurate for the Pioneer CDJ-400 instruction if you view below it refers too the new CDJ-2000 series.
Please verify if the information is correct. Other then that I am a new member of SSL family/friends/peeps/homie's/essay's/em I feel you get the idea by now...

Hey DJ TooHypE,
You're right, looks the content got messed up in the 2.1 version :-S
Here is what it should say:
Turn on both CDJ400s, and switch them to USB mode by pressing the button in the top left corner marked USB. You will then be prompted to choose which Scratch LIVE deck you want your CDJ to control. Rotate the “push select” knob to toggle between left and right.
You will now be able to control Scratch LIVE with your CDJ400s.

Cool... Awesome... Look forward reading even thou eventually figured out the instructions on my own...
btw,
it look so awesome being able too switch from ( 1-2-3 ) HID Controllers/Midi Controller with the new SL3 looking forward having a 3 CDJ/Midi/HID setup soon enuff... WooT!!

Since I now own the SL4 i'd figured I take a look on the manual for the CDJ-400's it appears it hasn't been updated. I checked the link above.

Native support in Scratch Live has been added for the Pioneer CDJ-400. The CDJ-400 must have firmware version 1.300 or greater to operate correctly. This firmware is available as a free download from Pioneer: www.pioneer.eu
