Hey not sure if this was suggested before but one thing I would find useful is to be able to buy a box with multiple inputs and outputs.

Basically for example being able to use up to 4 serato scratch lives at once instead of only 2. And they can use either CD or turntable.

What I do usually is have a song playing on one turntable, a beat looped on cd mixing in, then an accapella cued up on the other turntable, then another song cued on the last CD player, after I take out the 1st song I mix in the accapella and have the last song ready for mixing in. This can't be done with the serato and I think would be a nice feature. Other than that I have been very impressed with it's stability and the other suggestions. I hope this can become the new 1200s of the industry.

I do exactly what you are talking about, but Scratch Live only controls two tables - the others use straight-up vinyl.

I think this a cool idea but how about scratchlive with the ability to provide control of three turntables or even four- this could be done by upgrading our powered usb audio device and downloading a software update!!!

There are many times id like to mix using more than two turntables with scratchlive.

ok peeps,
serato use usb 1, thats why it cant handle so many in/outs...
i am not shure, but i think its max 8 channels, that the usb 1 do support.
if you play with 4 turntables, do it like this:
2 laaptops
2 serato boxes
and you can link the boxes, when you plug thru (box1) into in (box2)
however i dont think that serato or rane will ever bring out a box with more outs/ins or more usb in feature....
they want to sell more devices

do you think the newer laptops core duo 2 could handle two usb boxes and serato make a new program that could allow 4 decks?

@montana: da Du ja deutsch sprichst kann ich es Dir einfacher erklären: Serato benutzt nicht USB1 sondern hat eigene Treiber die nativ auf die Serato-Box zugreifen, also völlig egal ob USB1.1 oder 2.0. Es werden keine USB1.1 benutzt.
Das Problem ist, das man weitere A/D und D/A Wandler bräuchte, was den Preis eh verdoppelt, da kann man also auch zwei Boxen kaufen, wenn man das unbedingt braucht, so muss ich wenigstens nicht die Hardware bezahlen, die Du noch extra eingebaut haben willst.

Der letzte Teil ist korrekt. Der erst Teil etwas missverständlich. SL1 benutzt USB 1.1, da USB 2.0 Porst abwärtskompatibel sind, können sie auch mit USB 1.1 Geräte, wie dem SL1 umgehen. Montanta hat Recht, wenn er sagt, dass mehr Kanäle gar nicht über USB 1.1 übertragbar wären.

Das Argument mit den Wandlern steht natürlich. Wer keine 4 Eingänge braucht, hätte sie aber von Anfang an mitbezahlen müssen. Der gegangene Weg (nur 2 Eingänge) war meiner Meinung nach völlig korrekt. Was fehlt, ist eine Box mit 4 Eingängen, jeder der 3 oder 4 Eingänge benötigt, kauft sie sich, anstatt der mit "nur" 2 Eingängen.

Cool wäre es, wenn man zwei SL1 an einem Rechner verwenden könnte.

Also ich sehe das anders, aber ich habe mir auch noch nie Gedanken gemacht, ob ich mehr Eingänge benötige. Wenn ich einen Aufbau mit 4 Turntables mache (was in 15 Jahren Club-DJing vielleicht 5 mal vorkam), dann spendiere ich auch ein 2. Serato... Ansonsten kann ich nur sagen, ich freue mich im März wieder auf die Musikmesse, bei Dir Du sicher auch wieder dabei bist. Ich organisiere schon Afterparties für Abends...

Ich habe Dir im Grunde genommen zugestimmt. Nur die technische Ausführung von Dir war falsch ;)
