TTM Usb Question???

djknyce 1:11 PM 14 March 2007
So I got my TTM-57 yesterday and its a great mixer the only thing I forsee being a problem is I dont like how loose the USB input seems. I was doing something in the back of the mixer while I had serato open and a slight wiggle made me lose my usb connection. (which could be disastrous if playing out) my question is : has anyone found or know of a way to make this thing fit more tightly? any help you can provide is appreciated.

had the same issue, I sent it back to Rane. it still has wiggle to it, but doesn't have the loose factor that'd make it fall out like before.

man that sucks, i just got the thing and now im gonna have to send it in? does rane pay for shipping when you have to do this?
Dj KaGeN 8:08 PM 14 March 2007
I paid to send it - they paid to get it back to me.

oh - they match the way you shipped it, so if you overnight it, so will they.

Their is a thread in here that a mod says it was meant to be somewhat loose to prevent it from breaking internally. Mine is somewhat loose but not to the point where it would fall out unless I mess around with it.

ok, ill actually be playing out for the first time with it this weekend.........wish me luck. lol, i gotta remember to turn the efx off affter i use it.

I was ready to send mine in because it seemed like the connector was getting looser and causing problems connecting with SSL, but after doing some tests I think it might be a software issue. I cant break the connection once its made by wiggling the connector but Ill sometimes have troubles getting SSL to recognize the 57 after being powered off or starting SSL up. So far, restarting SSL has moderate success, and cycling the 57 power doesnt seem to work. Ill have to keep messing with it for now tho, hate to pay the shipping charges for no reason.

im with you on that seasinz, and i always have gigs. so downtime for me is crucial cause i absolutely hate spinning on sub-par equipment........even though i have a pmc-07pro but now that im on the ttm even that feels inferior....lol
