Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to include a function that allows someone to find moved files. For example, let's say I moved a song by Prince from a pop folder to a retro folder it will then show up red and not found in serato. Now anywhere I have this track or in any crate I have this track it will be in red. If perhaps I could click the red icon, find the new location of this file, or have serato do a search for the file in a particular folder that would be very helpful. I have a few friends that have paniced because they have seen this red track.
I read through previous suggestions and didn't see this in file and track management forgive me if it has already been addressed.

this is a good idea but when you are "live" would you want to really do all that?

Yes very similar. There's also a similar feature in Vegas if there are missing files in a project it goes and seeks the missing files in specified drives etc. I don't think doing this live will take too much processing power for the machines these days, especially based on the min requirements for SSL

i agree that a search that could find "lost files" would be an enormous help. This might make something like moving crates to a thumb drive for a guest gig easier too since it could find the mp3s wherever you put them and you wouldn't have to worry about re-creating the entire directory structure.

but the new files are actually in the "All" folder, but they have been renamed and the previous link is damaged (file not found) so hunting for it wouldn't do much good would it? What if you linked to the wrong file, that would be worse!

not too look for new files but to look for the same file or filenames but just different folder location. More folder movement than anything else. They would not be in the all folder they will be red in there as well.
