I am checkin em out in the Bean tonight...I am really looking forward to seeing Lupe...
Anyone check this tour out? I paid hella money for these tickets but I have a feeling i wont be disappointed...

yeah - it's dope. i caught them when they came through austin.
my favorite roots tour is still the one for the release of things fall apart, though.

was the set they played game theory heavy?
if they played a set like the roots come alive cd id pretty much be in heaven

i just saw the show in DC, along with Chuck Brown. They played some game theory material, but also ran the classics. Well worth the price of admission.

haahaha, well i paid much more then the price of admission...nevertheless this will be my 5th time seeing them and i have never left a show disappointed. Im almost more pumped to see Lupe to be honest.

you should get there right at show time then. He came on at like 8:01 and only performed for 15 or 20 minutes.

Attended the show last night and must say I was VERY happy when i left.
Lupe went on at 7 but went pretty much 45 minutes.
He did alot of these dope freestyle type things or something over kanye beats and this dope song called switch over the still tippin beat.
Def very impressed with him...
Seen the Roots 5 or so times and this may have been the best time i have seen them. They played wit this 4 peice brass band and this dude on the Tuba killed it.
Black Thought went on to ask if hip hop was dead, then they went into the Nas track, then did this 15 minute medely of hip hop songs old and new. Everything from tribe to mims.
Well worth my time and money.

in DC, Chuck Brown, the godfather of Go-Go played for an hour and roots played for 90 minutes.

word...I think they played for close to 2 hours and 20 minutes..they went on at like 805 and it ended at 1045
