Well Ya'll..........
I just pre-ordered the Zero-4, and am eagerly awaiting it's release and subsequent arrival. I have the official street price for the U.S. - $1,299.00
www.novamusik.com
By ordering it pre-release, I am getting it for $1,099.00
Still no word on the "official" release date, but kats I have talked to speculate a mid-April to early-May release, shortly after Musikmesse.
Now, if Rane would only release a 3/4 channel mixer w' SSL, I could sell this on EBay and make some profit. Though I presume that'll be at least a year away.
On another note.
Apparently, Ecler are claiming they have a Zero-4 killer coming out this year, though I think it's more like a Zero-8 killer given it's (EVO-5) dimensions. Did anyone on here get to Scratchworx in time to save pics of it? If so, please send me a PM, I'm dying to see it before Musikmesse.

I'm kicking between the Korg Zero-4 and the Mackie d.4 - both due in the US sometime in early May (based on the reports I've gotten).
I'm leaning towards the d.4 though.... 14x8 firewire, comes with MixVibes and Tracktion.... and will work with uh, that 'other' software I use...

yeah the Zero 4 looks nice, and i have to say Eclers are great mixers, and i really prefer the Ecler x-faders to the rane x-faders.
Been debating buying a Nuo4/5, need to be able to cut properly but alos need 3-4 channels and obviously midi is proving more and more desirable.... but will hold on and see what the Evo is gonna be like...

From what I've read, it's going to be more like the Zero-8 than the Zero-4. By that I mean, it's gonna be H U G E! Measuring in @ like 19" X 18", though it'll lack as many channels as the Zero-8, having only 5 compared to the Zero's 8. I think that the real competition between the two will come from the faders. Ecler's are established "kick ass faders", where as no one can get a confirmation of whether The Korg is using 'Pro X Fade' faders or not. If the latter be true, than the competition will be fierce!
What up, nobody got any pics of the Evo-5 from any of the forums before Ecler laid the smack down?
