When I play a cd through the SL on the 57 it gives me the USB error signal, anyone familiar with that problem?

Do you mean putting a CD in your laptop CD drive? If so try raising your USB buffer, playing tracks from a CD in this way will never be as reliable as playing them from your hard drive.

cdj100, and yeah its "USB DROPOUT", I'll try the buffer method and see what happens. According to the shop I got it from, when playin WAV files off discs it will often give that message. Sorry about the late reply, not too sure of the time difference (I'm in South Africa!)
