Everyone does realize that it's based on historical events....

It's based on the Persians vs. the Greeks at Thermopolae circa 400-500BC. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm planning on seeing it soon.

BTW, either History Channel or Discovery Channel did a show on the battle (on both land and sea) last week. Even that was pretty dope....

Yeah, I'm in Western Civilization right now, we learned all about this stuff last year. The movie was pretty good, the fight scenes are awesome! I remember some quotes from class such as "then we'll fight in the shade" and "tell the spartans, that stranger passing by . . ." and all that good stuff!

its doesn't come out over here (ireland) til the end of the month and i can't fookin wait to see it. i haven't been this excited bout a movie since the final Starwars was released!

If you're easily amuse by special effects and such, then this is for you. If you're more intelligent than that, it sucks!
