This is the scenero, your in rel mode and loaded a track, after matching pitch, gain etc. you wanna go back to beginning of the record. you cant really take the needle back to the beginning of the record as your in rel mode so you would either have to select the cues or press the rewind button on the laptop to get back to the starting point.
My suggestion is to either update rel mode or have another mode which is combo of rel & abs mode
It would work exactly like rel mode but only if you take the needle right back to beginning of the record , it would cue from either your first cue point(if you have set it ) else from the beginning of the track.
Your thoughts??

My thoughts are that the new mode for this feature would be better than updating the current mode, because:
1. I don't reset the needle after every track
2. I set the needle almost anywhere in the beginning part of the control record, so I don't wear out that first part
3. I always end up in internal mode because I run out of room on the control record, so I just pick the needle up and drop it at the beginning of the track and it jumps back to REL mode without skipping a beat!

P.s the idea being, once you have loaded your the track you dont need to touch the laptop to get to the starting point of the track!

True, I get what you saying, I do that all the time as well.. but for the sake of dicussion if they do decide to update the rel mode, maybe it could work like this
(a) You could drop it at anywhere in the record , it would read as normal i.e without skipping a beat and it jumps back to REL mode.
(b)Only if you drop it right at the beginning of the record, it would cue as I suggested in the earlier post.

I and K keys will send the track on decks 1 and 2 (respectively) back to the beginning in relative mode.
This is good for if your first cue point isn't at the very beginning of the song.
