Have you guys seen this? This thing looks pretty interesting. I have never used traktor, but if I was an NS7 user I would definitely have to consider switching.

Serato, please step up your promo game and put out videos displaying your products that more accurately show the features.

Comparing Itch and Traktor isn't even really fair. Itch is like Serato Jr. Half the video showed features that Itch doesn't even have. Itch is more a portable controller solution for DJs that are "old school" but hate carrying turntables.
I think the Bridge and Ableton will add lots of cool features, but I think it will be overly complicated compared to what that video showed with live loop sequencing right in one product. Plus SSL is $500, Ableton's another $500, that doesn't even include a MIDI controller which then has to be mapped.

I realize its not a perfect comparison, but the ns7 to me is most comparable product serato offers and itch happens to be what it runs

I'm light years away from even giving passing consideration to buying any NI product, but have to admit that was a pretty impressive demonstration.

The Traktor S4 is a great tool and has endless possibilities. There have been a few teething issues with the S4 yet NI keep you updated and let you know of any software updates. For more information on the S4 then check out the Traktors4review.com website where there is plenty of information on this DJ kit. If you are looking for an overall top performing DJ kit then look no further.

No booth out = failboat.
How am I supposed to hear myself mix? I guess that's what the sync's for!

I too was looking to get the S4. Was about 5 minutes away from buying it when I came across a post that it really only works for EDM Dj's, I dont know if thats necessarily true for I have not used it but this is just what I have read. Me spinning many different genre's of music, hip-hop being one of the big ones next to house, jogwheels are way to small for my liking. That was the deciding factor for me, I need a good controller that is good for me to play all different genre's of music. Which is why I think I'm floating back to the NS7/6.

I saw this but I really don't have the money right now to buy all this. So I might as well use what I have now and I think I'll be buying the NS7 :)

You misunderstood. If you continued to read you would have noticed that I clearly stated the jogwheels dont do much justice when it comes to some genre's like hip-hop where you scratch more often than most other genre's of music. The S4 jogwheels being as small as they are it really isn't comfortable for me. SMH...

played with the s4 today at sam ash. that thing feels like a toy. man yes thos wheels are wayyyyyy to small. its almost feels as if you push to hard scratching it will slide off the table. I think it is for EDM dj's.
