BPM Question regarding version 1.7.1

Wassup Fellas! I have a question regrading the BPM calculation when building overviews.

I was just wondering if forcing a "build overview" with bpm calc turned on for a file that already had BPM set manually, would scratch live "build overview" still try to calculate the BPM and re-populate that column? I was just wondering cause I think some of my BPM's are not as accurate when I entered them in manually and was hoping that rebuilding overviews would correct my problems.

I know i'm being lazy here, but i'm in the middle of building overviews of some new stuff and don't want to stop it to test out my above question.

Thanks!

does serato tag the bpm in the file like mix meister?

Yes it will overwrite the value, but mind you some may not change especially if Serato agrees with the previous value. on the other hand, Serato may give a doubled or halved value (though this only happens rarely).

If Serato is not 100% sure of the songs BPM it will not put anything in the field. This is why you may see some song's BPM field as blank (again happens rarely)

You can always manually tap in new values or even just type in the BPMs to song you either know / disagree with serato.

IMO, Serato's calculate BPM feature works quite nicely.

Yes, why don't you try a few sample files and see for yourself?

thanks for the info bro! rebuilding 11000+ files right now, started about 10 hours ago and it's 1/3rd through...hopefully it doesn't crash :)
