Ok How Many Of You Out There Have Been In The Peak Of The Night With Your Video Set & Have The Perfect Old School Track & Even Something New To Drop But You Dont Have Time Or Forgot To Place An Ambient Loop In Your Video Screen? There Has Got To Be A Way To Default All Your Non Video Mp3s To All Of Your Ambient Videos So When You Dont Have Time Or Forget It Will Automatically Pick One Of The Ambient Or What Ever Videos You Choose For It To Pick From.

Other Video-Sl Users Leave A Comment Or A Better Way You Think This Could Be Improved...

Thanks Josh,

Your quick fix would be to use Mix Emergency

Doing Mega Mixes When You Only Use 45sec-1:30 It Gets A Little Over Worked With Everything That Is Going On. With Video-Sl Serato & Three Cdj-1000s & The Roland V-4

Don't see what the third cdj and the roland have to do with ME.

But if u got the v4 y not just run videos on a ipod or something then when u go to audio just switch over.

I'm curious is there anyway to drop a ambient in the all audio section of serato so it sets for every audio file? Or you have to do it seperately for every single audio track? That would be so much simpler if this were possible.

I've been playing more and more newer stuff that don't have videos and Mix emergency has come through. I have several different ambients in the media bank and once I load up an mp3 a video gets assigned. I can quickly check it in ME's screens and if I feel that video doesn't fit well, I'll choose another one, but ME does the initial video load, so If I'm quick mixing I don't have to worry about it.

You Can Save The Ambient Video To The Audio File But, It Would Be Nice If You Could Pick Your Favorite Ambient Videos To A Crate & It Would Just Place The Ambient Video To Your Non Video Mp3 Song. So You Dont Have To Jump In Between Your Crates Screens & Your Mix All @ The Same Time. What Is Your Out Look On There Please Comment.

I'm way too obsessive. I plan and pre mix how everything will be before I go to the club. Takes up way too much time but my sets have to be perfect.

How can they be perfect if they are static? Unless you're doing "just" a show, I find this a bit strange. Don't you try to connect to the crowd and adjust your set?

I was just thinking that same thing, I don't have that much free time. Most of my nite I wing it and set cues and loop certain videos cause almost everyday im converting new vids and just waiting to play them that night. Wish I could plan my set a little more but knowing what tracks & videos will work and reading the crowd always helps.
