I recently bought a 3-button footpedal and I'm loving that so now I'm looking into buying something for the flexFX, currently I have nothing hooked up.
Wondering what you guys are using right now and what you recommend? Naturally, high performance and low price is the ideal.
Any advice is appreciated.

The Pioneer EFX500 has some good effects and it's very easy to use, the sound quality isn't great (typical pioneer) but I think it works OK. Also consider the EFX1000 which sounds better but also costs a lot more.

another vote for the efx500 :)
sound isnt that bad really, and you o get a lot of effects for the price
efx1000 is a damn good unit and worthy of standing next to the 57

Thanks for the advice everyone.
Pioneer EFX500 seems to be the predominant choice so far, considering it costs less than the superior EFX1000.
I found this amazing demo of the EFX1000 in action. It clocks in at about 25 minutes so a broadband connection is a must. It covers not just the basics, but more advanced tips and tricks. Be sure to scroll down and click 'watch video'. I'm totally impressed with this piece of equipment?

Does the EFX500 do pretty much the same thing?

The EFX500 doesn't have the 8 bar echo/delay you can only do 4 bar so a lot of the clever stuff done in that demo can't really be done on the 500.

^^^^ True. you should be happy with a 500 though. Look on craiglist.com I have seen them for like $250. you could always save up for the 1000....
