Am Interested in Scratch Live. Few questions...

Hello Everyone:
I was snooping around the internet when I ran into Serato Scratch Live. I remember looking at it before, but not in detail. I was reading some tutorials and some reviews and I was think that I should buy this dandy device. But before I have a few questions.
1) For all of those DJ's that use CD players, how do you feel switching from burning CD's to using Scratch Live?
2) If I would be using a CDJ-1000, can one still use the hot cue buttons?
3) Is one still able to use the master tempo and the pitch control from the CD player or one has to use the one in the software program.
Thank You very much...

1) Organization and track finding is a snap in SSL, much better than burning countless CDs, only to forget which CD you burned the track to.
2) You can use hot cues in absolute mode.
3) Master tempo on the CDJs doesn't work with SSL (well, it does, but only to a certain extent and not very well). You have to use the built-in key lock in SSL, which quite frankly sounds better than the CDJs anyway.

1) using it with my denon tabletops is was great for me.... but still prefer to use my 1200's with SSL... much more you can do with it IMHO
2) Yes but you would have to reset it every time you load a new song.(see answer #3)
3)you use the one in the program. the reason the you would have to do this and the reason for #2's answer is b/c all the cdj is doing is sending a signal toe to the computer to tell it what to do. by using the keylock on the cdj SSL does not get the proper info to see the pitch change right. and sense the cdjis only sending the tone signnal.. it does not know when you change tracks in SSL gt the preset hotcue for the songs are..... but SSL has up to 5 cue points per song that you can use while working in Relitive mode

Those the program remember the cue points of each song you play? or do you have to put the cue points everytime you load the same song?

Yes, SSL will remember the cue points (they are saved in the file itself) and will be there there every time you load the song.
