Last night was the first night i had used scratch in a club, and having used a rival (non TCV product) for about 5 years i was impressed.
A couple of things i would like to see are as follows:
1) a bigger easier to see clock, as in my clubs i have to call last call and time at the bars, and having a bigger or more visible clock would be a great help.
2) there possibly is this already but have not seen it but a auto record log file time and date stamped with the tracks played, this should save after each gig and start a new one the next day. I work in 2 distinct venues and it is handy to look back at last weeks log to remind myself what i played there. This is not because i am lazy but old and the memory fails also the thurs gig is more rock/alt based than the club gigs. Also people will come up and ask what song i played last week at about 11 and could they hear it again!
3)You mention that in the next release of scratch all overviews will have to be rebuilt, i am currently working my way down a collection of 43k tracks and it is taking forever, but right now i can see which ones have been done as the length field is filled when the overview is built. with the next version could a tab be introduced to indentify what version did the overview.
all other quibles have been covered in other posts.
thats it other than that a great night, oh well have the vodafone area managers party tonight, deep joy, so i had better get a shimmy on.

one other thing i would like to see is the option to repeat a search, At last nights gig (#2) i would search for a track but be in the wrong crate, so i had to click on the all button, if we could have a button/option to repeat search on a different crate.

finally one other point , sometimes i loaded tracks into the prepare field, and i think they will mix in so i pull them up, change my mind and then they are gone from the prepare list, can the length of time be extended before they are removed from the prepare section to say 10 seconds of play, also could they go green only after they have been played for about 20 seconds, or at least make these settings adjustable as i know some will only play a 10 second sample in thier sets?
