i have searched the forums for similar posts but have not yet found a solution to what i am experiencing so please bare with me on this one. first off i am using a macbook pro, technics 1200 mk2, and ttm 57sl. yes, i am still at the beginning of my learning curve to the entire digital dj revolution but have DJ'ed now for 24 years. When i load tracks onto the decks i am usually in rel or abs mode. after loading the track onto the deck, when i cue the control vinyl (manipulate it back and forth to start the track) i see that the track i loaded (wanted) is no longer loaded, but it is the next track after the one i actually wanted, that is loaded. in other words the tracks skip forward to the next one as soon as i start moving the vinyl. i always use side A of the control vinyl and don't always have this problem, it happens on occasion. this is more than likely something i'm doing wrong or a lack of knowledge on my part, but nonetheless frustrating. i'm doing nothing more than hitting the shift button and arrow, loading the track and getting the next one after the one i wanted when i start cueing. any help or advice for a digital noob would be appreciated.

Figured out the reason behind my issues. I was not leaving enough dead air at the start of my recordings therefore i was cueing to the next track. Go figure, a growing pain of learning serato :)
