Listening back to a mix, why does it stutter ?????

Listening back to a mix, why does it stutter ?????

done a nice mix and now that im listening to it back there is a stutter every 15-20 seconds or so. just fraction of a second but its ruined my mix.

have i been hitting the red's too much and this has caused it ??
