New ttm57sl problems out of the box!

longshot 7:42 AM 17 February 2007
I just got my ttm57sl today from AGIProDJ and I am having problems with button B1. It does not respond properly & has to be pressed a certain way to get it to work. I'm pretty sure it's something mechanical & not a software issue. Do I contact Rane directly about this? Or is this an issue the retailer needs to address? I would hate to lose my mixer for 3 weeks for repair. I just got it this afternoon & love it already. If anyone has had exp with sending their mixer back for repairs, what is the fastest way to fix this? What do i do?

Also forgot to mention that the 4 rubber feet were missing too.

You can send it to Rane, give Shaun or Zach a ring to get an RMA I think they will be much quicker than 3 weeks.
Are you sure your feet were missing you have to stick them on yourself they should be in the bottom of the box. If they aren't there mention them and I'm sure Rane will sort you out.

im having simular problems and my rubber feet was also missing :(

long, if it was defective out of the box, I would tell AGIPRO to exchange it in advance! It makes no sense to let you hanging and waiting for 3 weeks.

The rubber feet are sometimes "hidden" in the box, I also thought they were missing but they were inside. Double check.

Thanks for the tips Nik, but still no feet. Has anyone run into any of these problems? I'm just wondering if I'm one in million with bad luck.

I had no idea feet came with the mixer, thank god I keep all the boxes for expensive electronics and gear. I found the feet in a tiny bag in the bottom of the box.

I haven't had a problem with it moving or anything but if it came wif feet, might as well put them on.

I also ordered my 57 from AgiProDJ, came about a week or two ago. My B1 button works fine.

That's great, but like i said earlier, I think it's a hardware issue. I just want to make it clear that I don't feel jerked in anyway by AGIProDJ. They have been more than accomidating to me and have helped me alot. They've been a class act throughout my dealings with them. I've dealt with Justin over there & he's a great guy. I don't think they build ttm57sl's at AGIPro, so it being a hardware problem, they are probably not responsible. On the other hand, it being a deffect out of the box would make me feel that Rane would most likely want me to deal with the retailer first to reduce my cost in servicing the unit. I think however that shipping to AGI & AGI shipping it to Rane & then it returning the ame route will be very time consuming. I was unable to reach anyone over at AGI over the weekend, so I'll try to contact them again on Monday. hopefully I'll have better luck. Maybe they'll ship me a loaner till mine gets repaired. Is that done for internet sales?

I don't know if this has ever been done or not but... since you seem to be on a budget for time, maybe you could get it repaired locally and send the retailer or manufacturer the invoice. I'm guessing the repair for the spring of a button is cheaper than the shipping costs of that pretty large box, let alone the several weeks you will have to wait to get your 57 back. Anyway, I would try it since it seems like the problem isn't that complicated and both Rane and AgiProDJ are flexible

hmm I am officially the only DJ that has a 57SL and hasn't used any feature on it yet. Had it since July of 2006. Maybe I should check into this to make sure my buttons even work haha.

Spoke to Shawn at Rane & Justin at AGIPro, everything is kool. I musta got a 57 with a bum B1 button. Replacement on its way soon.
