I was used a lot this in FS to find my new tracks I have too many and I can't remember song names of that many, so I look just for the date added!

have you tried using smart playlist in itunes? i use this to keep my 'date imported' and 'date modified' playlists seperated.

to add to that, i think the # column should also be available on the All... crate. that could be a temporary solution till the import date column comes along.
