I was at Barnes & Nobles last night looking for a book on Ableton Live and I came across this one... DJING FOR DUMMIES. I skimmed through it and what I read was really good. A lot of good tips in there. I agree with a lot of what it was said, specially the NETWORKING. It really shows you how to get your name out there.
If you're an up and coming DJ, you should definitely give this book a read. It's well worth the $13.

Woody - when my girly was out getting a haircut (3-4 hour span called "boy time") I figured it out... After you get the general gist - it's actually a pretty simple piece of software.

yea! I messed around with it last night. It's not that hard, just intimidating at first. I already figured out the Warping, and somewhat the basics for Arranging a mix. Hehehe

add in some midi - setup the layers and then play them - do a quick mix, record it - play it back and keep altering it.. damn that ish is cool.
