what's the point of being able to do that without playing serato at the same time? what if we want to mix some of our own produced tracks?

Res-Q, there is a live beside SSL. Real vinyls+cds.
However, agree, its a limitation (missing feature...) which sucks.

nik, trust me my youth I know about vinyls.
King Junior Sound is one of the biggest souund system in France from long time. I also spin acetate dubplates since the early 90's.
I am not complaining about not being able to record any Real vinyls, I agree with you, it sux, so I am ranting about the fact that this feature is limited to vinyls or cds. That's why I said "what if we want to mix some of our own produced tracks?"
Or maybe I need to spend on a couple of cdj, rip my prod to cds and record my mix?... I bought a 57 mainly because I can play my dubplates on serato without having the hassle to go and get the acetates done, carry the dub boxes, that's more than 50 kilos.
Anybody know if this feature will be integrated, or is it never gonna be possible?

Steve W from Serato confirmed that this is possible. Question is when they are going to implement it.

ok thanks, well to me this should definately be on their top priority list. Correct me if i'm wrong, but they seem to be more working on developping the software rather than developping the 57 features.

yeah - but then software features benifit the greater audience (i.e. all uf us - not just those of us with 57s).
I find it refreshing that a company brings out a new product but continues to support and develop the older one too...

is that the same kind of refreshing as the 'mixtape djs dream' and then no different to any other mixer?

this is one of the main reasons I bought the 57..... this was suppose to be the mixtape dj dream mixer... seperate tracks..
