i have hooked this up @ a gig by going "out" from my mixer and into my macbook via a mini jack to RCA. i know you can do it and i recorded with this for around 10-15 min.

my question is how long? i know that garage band isnt that great....good but not great.

has anyone has done this for at least a hour? 2?

have you crashed GB or SSL or your PC doing this?

in a earlier post about this someone mentioned that it would "fry" your hard drive.....using it for SSL and recording @ the same time? overwork it?

and any other info you can share.......

Some computers will let you run both programs at the same time. I've ran ProTools and SSL at the same time on my old iBook. Just plain recording. Nothing else though.

I say try it.. and see what the results are.

i have tried it for a lil bit (it works).....but i gig alot so have not had time to mess with it @ home for a long period of time.

I've tried it for 1 1/2hrs . the software may act Stupid.
