is it possible to have usb dropout problems due to loud bass? maybe the connections resonates/vibrates, and it causes this issue? it happened to me just recently, and i noticed it occuring when i started playing heavy bass music

usb DROPOUT? hmm... you must have one cagey usb connector!
doesnt sound likely.. did serato stop completely, or did it just distort?
if you're getting distortion because of bass rumble, play around with the sensivity on the setup screen, you should have clear circles, if you arent getting clear circles, faff until you do!

could it be your needles are getting too much bass vibrations? maybe try to dampen some the vibes to ensure a better reading.

adding to my first statement, my set-up that night was only laptop. no turntables. no cd players.
the reason i suspected the deep, loud bass is because in the beginning, only soft music was played--no problems. then, after i started playing dance music, the music/sound started skipping for less time that a normal skip from a cd would manifast. then, usb light goes on and goes off periodically. also, i know that it happened predominately when i played the "Vans" song by the group called the Pack, which has rolling bass at different frequencies.
all Rane IEEE, EE, ECE, ECET, IS, etc. that knows this concern, hit me up pls. or anybody that has a faint knowledge about this
