whats the difference between a straight tone arm and s shaped tone arm, is one better for scratching? thank you

straight is better 4 scratching cuz it holds onto the grrooves of the vinyl better thats the only diff

well do all technics come with "s" shaped tonearms? i'm confused cause I thought that technics were really good for scratching

it's a matter of preference and how you want to deal with specs and general public. If you want higher specs decks with more features the door is open for you to buy gear other an Technics, you will then be blasted with ridiclue from your peers - so pick your poison carefully. If you can handle the heat - a straight arm decks with more torq, features like reverse, start/stop buttons for battle/standard, wider pitch ranges, start and stop brakes speed that are fully adjustable, and even key lock. I know I know - amazing that the "industry standard" is so LACKING on features.
