Just out of curiousity... how do other djs / people feel about them in different parts of North America?

For example, in Ottawa every dj is very proud of their ability to mix funky mixes and play them from beginning to the end... i've made them look like idiots countless amounts of times.

i believe in teasing and massaging the crowd and controlling them by dropping bits and bits of tracks here and there and not playing songs pass the 2nd chorus unless it is THE BIGGEST song ever at the moment just to keep everyone moving and guessing when and what will come in.. FROM THE DJ and and not a FUNKYMIX lol.

How are they viewed in different cities / states / provinces across NA?

ilon here in detroit all three of the different brand's are played but not alot.......i play some of them if i dont have the normal version.but im not huge on them because i dont like playing track's that have scratching in them because im a scratcher and i dont want to look like a fool when there scratching and im not doing it!

funkymix/wicked sucks balls. i know of a few Dj's that use that and only that and they sound like shit.

I'll admit I own several songs from both - but most of the time I use my cue points so I can get past all the fluff.

A nice five minute mix comes in handy when you gotta take a leak.

Some of the shit is ok...But the built in scratching drives me fucking crazy.....EDIT and cue right past that garbage...

I think its more fun to play the originals and come up with some crazy shit...

But to each his own I guess....

I have scratch live and I'm using a Dell laptop. My problem is sometimes some of my songs in the crate cannot be found.
Any of you guys experienced this?

Uh... This doesn't subscribe to this thread... But double check that your songs have been ripped using the correct format. Example: MP3...
