Would it be possible to make some changes in the way shift key is used for loop roll effect? Its something I and probably quite a few others use very frequently and its very annoying to not be able to do it with one hand like on VCI 300.
May I suggest either giving user an option to use Shift key in toggle mode (just like caps lock on a keyboard), or giving an option to use another key for loop roll (like mode button).

you're right, tap would work just as well. Surely it would be a very easy update to implement.

Well. Not very easy. I made this request eight months ago, but seems that Serato was not interested in this idea: www.serato.com

It'd be sufficient to implement this:
Short TAP button stroke--> start BPM calculation
Long stroke (TAP button held)--> SHIFT

Yes, good idea! But are the Serato gods reading this?

Surely someone at Serato will recognise that its a slight design flaw to require the use of both hands to apply a simple effect, as that basically means that when the effect is played there is no further sound manipulation possible on either the same deck, other deck or the mixer. Shouldn't be more than a few lines of code to amend.
