ok i am using the ns7 unit.. i know its supposed to be 24 bit, is there anyway to cut off the internal limiting because i don't really like the sound it produces...

When i record into another DAW program the waves are very compressed and don't go over -6db. I want more dynamics in my sound with this unit, so how do i cut off the limiting?

i have the 2 channel gains at max and the master out gain at about half way, when i go past half the audio sounds real crappy... and distorted.

well pull your gains down and that should fix the issue... your gains really shound not have to go past 12 oclock... turn the master up

are you recording internally? looks like you can gain up your recording knob a little too.

no i recorded the actual output from the ns7 into CAKEWALK SONAR 8. cuz i wanted to see the audio files.

Lower those gains/master out. The NS7 is a level monster, you'd still have plenty.

First white LED flashing, master out at 3 o'clock... Juicy! :)

yeah i had a couple of gigs this weekend, i lowered the channel volumes to 12 o'clock and used master at about 1 oclock.... AUDIO SOUNDED GREAT...

i will be recording another mixtape this week so i will see how the audio looks when i lower the channel volumes.
