Hey folks!
My Notebook HD is kinda small, so I'm up to buy an external HD for my music, serato software and an own OS (with optimized config for my gigs) running on it.
2,5''I'd like most because they're so handy, but I'm a little bit insecure if the USB-Power is stable enough, what if the HD disconnects while I'm in action (I read that some models did that when they lost power)?
My OS would be shut down, so the SL1 and there'd be silence until reboot. Can I trust in 2,5'' HDs?
Would it be safe to use a Y-Cable for an HD that's normally powered by only one USB-Connection? Or have I use an 3,5'' storage with an extra power supply?
