a minor annoyance i've noticed.

i notice this bug all the time, but it's easily fixed. i thought i'd tell everyone anyways.

on windows version of itch (windows 7), when you first launch the program, the taskbar covers up about half of the bottom waveform display. just minimize and restore the window and it's no longer an issue.

does this only happen to me? it also happens on my vista laptop.

is your taskbar set to stay on top?
on w7 i don't have this issue
Awesome steve 1:56 PM - 6 July, 2010
Yes it is, but I like it to stay on top in other programs. Itch usually would overrule the taskbar before. It started doing this in 1.5, and as well in 1.7

Meh, like I said, minor annoyance...
marcA 2:03 PM - 6 July, 2010
yeah but sometimes the overruling does not work, i have the same problem sometimes with my programs...
just curious,
- do you have a DPI size > than normal (120 dpi or 120% or so) (so the text is easier readable on high res screens)
- is the taskbar locked?
Socross 2:58 PM - 6 July, 2010
Yeah, I have this problem too - happens with both Itch and serato.

Dpi is on it's normal setting. Taskbar locked. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem. It actually seems like a win7 glitch. I wish Microsoft had nice helpful forums like this one.
Socross 3:07 AM - 7 July, 2010
Actually I had this same problem last year when I was using xp.
marcA 6:15 AM - 7 July, 2010
waiting till someone jumps in to say apple does not have this problem LOL
Socross 6:16 AM - 7 July, 2010
Yeah, I'm sure I can fix this problem by going out and spending $2000 :D
Awesome steve 11:11 AM - 7 July, 2010
doesn't apple not even have a taskbar?
marcA 12:27 PM - 7 July, 2010
no they have a tree :)
Awesome steve 12:50 PM - 7 July, 2010
like a hierarchical data struct..... OHHHH LOL
DJdaveZ 4:40 PM - 7 July, 2010
we have a "dock" just like the new win 7... you can keep applications in the dock just like "pinning" them to the taskbar.
Awesome steve 6:03 PM - 7 July, 2010
Oh ok. Honestly windows took that long to figure it out
Socross 2:59 PM - 9 July, 2010
If you set the task bar to auto hide, this won't happen any more.
Awesome steve 3:48 PM - 12 July, 2010
Yea but autohide is annoying. There was a program for winXP that would make the taskbar stay under the windows but it doesn't work on vista or 7. Any ideas?

I'll just keep opening itch, minimizing, then re-opening for now...

Same happens to me.. and it was reported in the 1.5 beta and was supposed to get fixed for win 7 in the next versions.
