Many times I have been playing a track, start searching in other crates for another track, so the crate where I originally got the track from is no longer in focus. But then I decide you know this track should really additionally be in another crate. So it would be nice if I could just drag it straight from the deck to another crate. I know you can press CTRL + L to locate the track in your library, but why have that step, if I have the track name right there on the deck anyway, and just clicking on the track name on deck doesn't do anything anyway, so its not like you can risk doing another function while the song is playing.

You should be able to do this now.
Click on the virtual deck, drag the track on top of the crate name you wish to copy it to.
Does this not work for you?

yeah like matt said, it should work...
you have to click like on the round "platter" on the screen, and just drag it.

Yah that does work, all this time of using Serato prodcuts I never actually thought about dragging from the virtual platter, I automatically thought that clicking on the platter would have paused the music

the difference between us and virtual dj users, is that we have to use a controller... their GUI is the same no matter what... if you click on their platter, you stop the music and have the ability to scratch right? i dunno havent used it in a while...
