Wow, I browse these forums a lot, but rarely log in. I had to log in to respond to that video. That hurt my ears. All you did was 1 beat looping of 50 different samples. I suck at turntablism, but this was god awful. I agree with everything Breakermixer is recommending to you Jamster. You should take his words seriously, unless you're trolling.

i think the key to beat juggling is the "beat" part... you seem to be able to juggle... but have no semblance of beat... that isnt music coming out, its noise.

i do have control of the crossfader why should i show yall must keep my skills


A real battle DJ is relaxed while doing turntablism. You don´t have the muscles of your arms relaxed.

A real battle DJ is humble and does not say to others that is the best. The ability is not demonstrated through words, but on the stage. You can´t say things like "the teacher and spin master" DJ Jamster teacher "or" battle dj Jamster ".

My advice is that you only learn when you train for fun, not to show others what you can do. If you continue behaving in this way you will never win the respect of another DJ, just from your friends.

@ iiexist, the labels don't matter in Jamster's case, 12 & 6 are unnecessary markings especially when he's not using them for anything. Labels can help for something like a v7 or ns7 with rotating platters. They're used for a marker of where the sample starts, plus relieves you of the dreaded laptop stare.

I don't want to fuel the fire but, Jamster, you really need to stop. Seriously.

The 15:40 scratch is the "Da Jam Masta Scratch." Rumor has it, Qbert is going to cover this in his next scratch tutorial as the only technique he is unable to pull off. He's predicting it will take him another 10 years to unlearn all his form and timing to get the Da Jam Masta Scratch down.

i know what labels on vinyl are used for =)
but for controllers, i didnt think there was consistency with where the labels were. i know for a fact they wont work with the vci, but with the v7 and ns7 its the same thing, even with the rotating platters. especially if you drop cue points.. your sample at 1 o clock will change to 5 o clock just caused you dropped a random cue point.. am i right? i dont use the ns7 or v7.. but im pretty sure its the same boat. you cant drop random cue points/samples with vinyl.. hence your label is always going to be consistent. your AHHHH at 1 o clock.. will always be.. at 1 o clock.

if you start scratching the marker will always stay in the same 'relative spot' may not always be 12 o'clock but it will show you the start of the scratch

right, but once you hit another cue. that marker is changed. so i guess the ns7s and v7s have some use of the markers.. more than the vci controllers. didnt mean to hijack the thread, ha!
